Make Love, Not War!
It is 1798. Inspired by the recent American and French revolutions, the Irish revolt against their British overseers. In Sligo, on the west Irish coast, Col. Lester, the local British authority and Barry O’Day, a rebel, play a dangerous cat and mouse game which includes disguise and treachery. Can love between the to-the-manor-born Eileen and the rebel Barry survive the troubles? The show is Victor Herbert’smusical paean to his native land, including the timeless titles:
